Who is Watts Church Family?

Here at Watts, we’re working on a relationship with Jesus one day at a time. Hope drives us. Grace has changed us. As followers of Jesus Christ, we want to share God’s extravagant love with everyone. Spend some time with us. Together, we will explore what it means to be made new, born-again.

What are Sunday services like?

  • We have one multi-generational combined service.  It lasts about 90 minutes starting at 10:30am.
  • If you have kiddos, awesome!
    • we have a nursery that looks into our sanctuary with a speaker.
    • we have busy bags that located at the back of the sanctuary.
    • we have Jr. Church that is geared for kids out of diapers to 8th grade.
    • we too have diaper changing stations in both the men's and women's bathrooms upstairs outside the sanctuary.
  • If you need help hearing the music, announcements or message, we have wireless hearing devices.

What are the pastor’s messages like?

The weekly message (about 30 to 45 minutes) gives us great biblical teaching and understanding how to apply it to our everyday lives.

Welcome

We love to see God's children come to the revelation of the Life, Death and Resurrection of Christ Jesus.

That starts by us, Watts Church Family extending

  • a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, filthy rich, dirt poor, yo no habla Ingles. We extend a special welcome to those who are crying new-borns, skinny as a rail or could afford to lose a few pounds.
  • We welcome you if you can sing like Dolly Partin or like our pastor who can’t carry a note in a bucket. You’re welcome here if you’re “just browsing,” just woke up or just got out of jail. We don’t care if you’re more Catholic than the Pope or haven’t been in church since little Wesley’s Baptism.
  • We extend a special welcome to those who are over 60 but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome soccer moms, NASCAR dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems or you’re down in the dumps or if you don’t like “organized religion,” we’ve been there too.
  • If you blew all your offering money at the dog track, you’re welcome here. We offer a special welcome to those who think the earth is flat, work too hard, don’t work, can’t spell, or because grandma is in town and wanted to go to church.
  • We welcome those who are inked, pierced or both. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid or got lost in traffic and wound up here by mistake. We welcome tourists, seekers and doubters, bleeding hearts … and you!

What should I wear?

  • You’ll find a variety in appearance at Watts–anything from a tie to jeans. Don’t worry about what to wear. Come as you are!

What's the music like?

  • Our music is a blend of modern and traditional styles on the screen lead by one of our worship leaders leading.
  • Some people raise their hands during the service–this doesn’t mean  they have a question, but it’s an expression of praise and respect to  God. We don’t expect everyone to do this, just as you desire to  outwardly express yourself.
